We had a fun time this weekend! There were some really odd people, and some really cool people too at the renaissance faire. The kids got to collect stamps from the different characters and watch juggling and see pirates and fairies... It was a gorgeous day to be outside.

James had a conference in Arizona. I got to tag along for a few days. Dad came out to watch the kiddo's (they all did great!!) so I could join James. We had a great time. Friends to see and pools to sit and read by... all while James had to work. :) It was nice to have some kid-free time to just be adults for a few days.

I was asked to shoot prom pictures for this girl. Personally I think they turned out pretty good! She is a blast and is just a beautiful girl. It was an awesome evening. Alyssa, you are a rock star in my books! ;)

Easter

Happy Easter! What a blessing this time of the year is. The trees are blooming, the rain is greening up the lawn (with the helps of some great fertilizer), and the sun shows itself to dry up the rain. Easter is one of those times we either take for granted or just try to get through without the kids having a sugar meltdown. We are so blessed to be able to serve a God who is no longer in a tomb, but at the right hand of the father. The veil of the temple was split and we now have access to our Savior. What are we doing wasting that amazing gift. Access to God... nothing inbetween.

Thank you Heavenly Father for the gift of your son. Thank you for the willingness to send your Son to die in my place. Thank you for the access you have provided by dying on the cross and the forgiveness of sin I do not deserve. Your glory fills the highest heavens and you proclaim your majesty throughout all the earth. Let the rocks cry out and the trees of the field clap their hands as we go out with joy and be lead forth with peace.

Our feet

What took me by surprise is the way I feel when her face lights up when I walk into a room because I am her world and she is mine. Being a mother is like taking your heart out of your chest and watching it walk around.
