Anyone for a ferry trip?!

We took the Golden Eagle ferry and then drove across the island to the Brussles ferry that goes to Grafton, IL. It was something new and an experience.

Happy Birthday Jonah!!!

Happy Birthday to Jonah!!! We had a birthday party for him. He had a blast!!! James made a race track for the cars the kids painted. They played relay games and had so much fun! James took after lunch off to spend with just Jonah and they had a ball playing mini golf. He even got a hole in one!! What a birthday!

Nature Walk

Today the kids and I took a nature walk. We went to the Busch Wildlife preserve. We found some neat stuff and a cool trail. We found mushrooms, flowers, spiders... and we saw a deer! At first Abby was scared of the forrest, but she got over it while stepping on pine cones and chasing Jonah. :) It was a beautiful morning and then we headed to the Library to quiet down a little before lunch.

This Weekend

Our plans for the weekend got tanked. :( We had planned on going to TN for Fathers day weekend, but wouldn't you know it... Abby got sick. She was feeling better, but still had a really red eye (it was not pink eye it was a virus) and was coughing. She was having melt downs and all that fun stuff, so it made for an interesting week until about Sat. night. Her eye this AM was finally some shade of white and she was back to more of her normal self and appetite. Jonah never got it, and for that we are SO thankful!!

My new camera came yesterday!!! Here is the Maiden Voyage. I feel like I should give my new camera a name now... I had the dedication minus the champagne. Haaa!

A Chapter Closes

Well, it is official. I am no longer working as a contractor for Josephotography. Due to health reasons, I am unable to continue. It is very sad, but this is just a chapter in our lives that is closing. There are new ones opening (not sure what they are yet... hum...) and we wait in expectation. It was a big part of my life for the last 4 1/2 years, and sadly it had to end. So farewell, but hopefully I can continue with my personal stuff and keep some pictures coming.

Abby turns 2!

Ya, so it has been a while!! Our computer is the the fritz. A quick sum up without pictures... Abby turned 2. Then after that she had her 2 yr appointment. Here comes another Jonah funny.... at the desk of the Dr.'s office Jonah leans on the counter and says, can I have my 5 year old appointment early?! The girl at the desk said she would have to ask and asked why. Jonah replied, "Because I don't want to worry about it (shot) on my birthday. I will be worried about it and I just want to get it over with". Then we went to a hamburger and custard place and he got a coupon for a free kids custard and he wanted to save it so after his shot daddy could take him for icecream and he wouldn't have to pay for it... Jonah rocks. :) Ok... so today we were outside and saw the cutest little frog. Jonah was picking it up (I have pictures of this too, but can't get them off the camera until the computer stuff is figured out) and it jumped under the grill so I moved the grill and... S Q U I S H!!! Oops. Jonah said, Mom it's ok it only made a little splat. Oh, and I forgot that for Abby's birthday she went to build a bear workshop and made the leopard. Her name is Kat. Original I know, but it made her happy! Abby also took a maternity test... NO!!! It is not what you think... Silly people. We gave her black olives... and guess what!! She's mine!!! Now we are going to have to buy 3 cans when we need one. One for me, one for her and one for whatever I am making. Haa!!!
