Our Weekend Day 1 and part of Day 2

Day one we took off Friday evening. We stayed right outside of Cincinnati. In the morning we went to the creation museum. It was really good, but our recommendation is to go durning the week. It was very crowded!!!!

Eckerts Farm

We went out to Eckerts farm to pick apples. Wouldn't you know it, there was a shortage on the trees and they cut off the picking for the day. So... we watched the pumpkin chunking and had some fresh squeezed cider. Some friends from church were up there and then we went to dinner at the Fin Inn. It is a place that has aquariums full of local fish from the river... appetizing huh?! You can't pick your own fish, but some of those "types" of fish are served. You can watch what you eat!!! Pretty disturbing. But we had a great time. The bottom picture of Abby was a total accident. I didn't check my settings and just blew the picture out. I saved it because I was going to play with it and see what it would look like. It is just Black and White and it turned out pretty cool.

The other weekend I shot a wedding. It was a special thing because the couples photographer quit last minute and I knew one of the bridesmaids. So, I agreed. It was a beautiful night, but I have to say unless you are a great friend or relative, I am out of the wedding business. It takes WAY too much. It wasn't even that long. But congratulations to them. RBC Women's retreat

Shannon and Jonalee decided to go on the women's retreat this year. We had sooo much fun! Daddy was with the kiddo's at home and they had fun of their own. Not sure if they have pictures of that or not... they invited the "boys" to come over and play video games all night... the Wii, Xbox and Playstation 2. Haaa!!!! As you can see I did the rock wall! The only person from our group to get up to the top of the hard side, and I did it 2 times and the easy side once. They dared me... I couldn't refuse. ;) Although sore the next day it was well worth it!

James' folks came out to visit this weekend. We went to the museum of transportation and had a great time!

Even the Heavens...

Even the heavens declare the Glory of God. Sometimes we forget that God is declared by nature. I am convinced that God paints for us. They sky, earth and universe are His canvas. Every time I look at the sky there is a new picture. Here is the sunset behind our house tonight. It got me thinking about His glory and His promises to me. In everything we do He needs to be glorified and declared. Nature can't help it... we should not be able to help it either. May you all have a wonderful day and know how much God loves us by painting the sky. Think of this, we were made for His pleasure, but we seem like the lucky ones if He makes beauty like this for our pleasure.

Yesterday we went to the St. Louis fair and Air show. It was a beautiful day! Jonalee got sunburned really bad, and James got alot of sun on his face. The kids faired just fine because I remembered the "re-apply" part of the directions on them... oops.
