Braid

This is sooooo precious!! James was trying to braid Abby's hair last night. :) He did a great job with her moving. We have officially hit "Daddy wrapped" mode... she has him around her little pinky!

Ok, so check this out... Abby was in the kitchen playing with her toy kitchen set. She was talking and stirring and putting on an apron. And it got quiet... really quiet. As a mom, you know something is "up". Abby was really "up"... This is how I found her.
She was watching the snow fall out of the plant window, in the plant window. Do you think I am going to have gray hair?!

Moving!!!

We are moving!!! Yea!! We put a contract on a new house and put our current house on the market a little over a week ago. Last night someone wrote a contract for this house!!! Yea!! We just need to finnish up negotiations and we are moving! It is a little bit farther out than we are, but it is alot more space and new construction! We are so excited. We will put pictures up when we can. I don't have any, but will get some. The house is being finnished, so it is under construction at the moment.
Pray for an easy move!

Todays Thoughts

Through a long process God has been teaching me alot about where He and I are. He has a plan for my life and I am not sure how that picture looks. My perspective is best put like this, I am a painter (not really, but lets pretend) and I know I was born to be a painter but for some reason I can only see a piece of the canvas that is before me. Sometimes I wish I could see the whole painting, but God in his infinite wisdom says not yet. He has put people in my life and scripture to give me the directions on pieces of the painting. So, for now I have to wait for him to pull the canvas back and show me what all the colors mean that seem pretty ordinary one at a time. God has been teaching me obedience through the scriptures. All of you that know me know that I am so compliant... ok, so not so much... but God's irony is perfect and I know He is laughing at my lessons and how I am getting them or not getting them. Please pray for clarity and for wisdom through all of my bad days and even in the good days. "May the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Abby got a nightgown for Christmas from James' Mom. She made it, and Abby loves it! This is her posing in it so I could take a picture of her. She is so funny.

I am having trouble posting pictures. Hopefully soon I can get some ice storm pictures up from this weekend. We were blessed not to have lost power. We may loose some trees, but are still blessed to have stayed warm and dry.

Happenings

It has been a while since I have posted. Many apologies. There has been alot going on since the New Year. For those who do not know I was diagnosed with Lupus and Fibromyalsia. Which means I am tired and sore all the time... but hopefully with the meds and tweeking we can get it at least controlled. My ANA (antineuclear antibodies) tests were extreamly high. I just took another blood test after one round of medicine to see where we are and how to adjust medicines. It will be a long process, but will be worth it if I get to do all the normal things. Although normal is relative at this point. :)
James started his new job!! He loves it and he does not have a long drive to work! That is the best perk for him.
Jonah is still in school and back after the holiday break. We are all thankful for school!! Plus he missed his best friend.
Abby is talking more and more and more!! I tell you, this girl is crazy!!! We all have grey hair and she keeps us always on our toes!!
Last night we played cards with our friends the Powells. We stayed up way too late and had a great laugh playing all kinds of games. And we LOVED it!
Off to get the rest of dinner on the table.
